Lovely location in the middle of the woods, by a river, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, great food and good wine. The rooms are simple but comfy enough, and large.

I would only recommend for romance during the summer as the terrace restaurant is gorgeous. The rooms are very basic and no reception area. But very welcoming.

The hotel is nice, we were offered free beverages upon arrival, there is free parking, and it’s close to the city center. We only stayed for one night to see the Christmas market, and we had a nice stay.

We enjoyed the two bedroom unit with two balconies! One overlooked the city of Trier. The trail from the hotel to the center of town was about a 20 min walk.
