The room did have it's own 'old hotel' charms, beds were comfortable, decent restaurant and a cosy bar. Excellent location in Dunedin with the centre of town just a few minutes' easy walk away, and equally as close to attractions such as the historic train station and art centre, and the settler museum. Hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. The cost was right for us as we were budgeting strictly at that point.

Our flat was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. It's near a Countdown and New World grocery stores which was very handy. The Octagon was a 5 minute walk.
