The staff as always were welcoming and friendly. This is nice quiet inn, not completely pristine, so great for bringing your dog(s). Don't get me wrong it's kept clean but the odd muddy paw doesn't stand out !!.

The character or the pub the fact that it's 600 yrs old and still standing . The quirky walls and uneven floors make it an interesting place to stay . The food in the evening was excellent and the breakfast in the morning again perfect .

Perfect for a weekend break,close to the city centre,ample parking and it was free,cosy and warm,we were able to leave our car until 10pm on day of checkout, highly recommended.There was tea-making facilities,and a microwave.
