Antarctica, also called the Home of the Blizzard and White Desert, is indeed a land of extremes: the southernmost, the coldest, the windiest, the iciest, the driest and the highest continent on the Earth. The fifth-largest continent is 14,2 mln sq km (5.5 mln sq mi), and an average elevation is as much as 2,200 m (7,200 ft). The lowest temperature ever recorded on the continent is -89.2 °C (-128.6 °F). Due to these severe conditions, Antarctica remains the least explored part of land worldwide, which only passionate scientists and brave travellers venture to. Even though Antarctica's land is barren, there is still a lot to see and experience. As scarce as land flora and fauna may seem, marine life is teeming with diversity and multitude. Because of Antarctica's status as a neutral territory, scientific stations (both coastal bases and inland stations) of different countries may be encountered there. Come to the White Desert to have a journey of a lifetime, experiencing the things you won't be able to experience anywhere else in the world.
