Our stay here was great, the views of the ocean when we woke up were amazing. The host was very nice. He lives upstairs and if you are lucky he will make you breakfast from the eggs he gets from his chickens.

The room was very spacious and it was a traditional Japanese style room. There was a window in the bathroom of our room with a view on the mountains and the river. The onsen was empty for most of the time and it had an outside bath.

数年前に全面リニューアルしたそうです。地元で昔からあるホテルなのに水回りは新しく清潔でした。乾燥する暖房が苦手なのですが個別空調で送風を選べて助かりました。また、浴室の水量がたっぷりなのが高ポイントです。今回は利用しませんでしたが2Fがコインランドリーなのが心強く、また国道沿いの立地は分かりやすいです。

Very cheap for what you get. We had a big family room with 3 beds for a reasonable price. There is also a big hot spring downstairs which adds to the value. It’s not in central Joetsu but there are a lot of shops nearby.

Great mix of contemporary and traditional accommodation in the heart of the Myoko village. Breakfast, bar and onsen all wonderful. Incredibly clean and the friendliest of staff. Carlo is the perfect host.

Situated 5 mins from the main street of Akakura Daiju is great spot to base yourself out of for your stay in myoko. Huge brekkie, great little in-house onsen style bath and shuttles to Mount Myoko resorts. Twin rooms are massive.
