The receptionists are foreigner friendly, their english was quite good. I have no struggle comminicate with them (use translator for complex cases).

Fantastic hosts, great location. We spent two nights at shukubo (monastery) which was a wonderful experience but appreciated also being able to stay in a place that was so personal and affordable. Absolutely adore and appreciate our hosts.

On top of all, the hosts were amazing and so nice. the village is very quiet and gives you a view of a different side of Japan. Also, the food is absolutely amazing. Best meals I had in japan.
