I loved the storage in the room. I also loved the bathroom which was good to do makeup in as well. I loved the staff who are so friendly, accommodating, and accepting.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were very pleasant. The room was clean. The restaurant nearby was excellent.

Comfy beds and a good location, coupled with nice staff. The size of the hotel makes it a relatively quiet place to stay at. The breakfast is adequate, not spectacular but you'll have enough choices.

Julieta’s home is the perfect spot. It’s cozy, clean, classy and has everything one needs.

We liked being in the beautiful town of Penafiel to visit our relatives. I liked the hotel, pool and staff. It was interesting that different football teams came to stay. Being from the UK it was good that we had parking available too.

The place was nice and modern with comfortable accommodations. There is a private garage and a pool for guests as well. They were very nice to accept us on short notice!

It is a lovely house in a beautiful location. The host also referred us to a wonderful little restaurant in the local village. We had a very enjoyable meal there.

Hotel staff is super friendly. Some of them speak English and/or Spanish too. The place has to be the cleanest hotel I've ever been, seriously.

A casa é bastante acolhedora e confortável, uma boa opção tanto de verão como Inverno. A anfitriã desdobra-se em cuidados e é uma simpatia. Os espaços exteriores dão para relaxar e aproveitar da piscina e zona de lazer. Recomendo!

Casa muito bem equipada e confortável. Muito orientada para crianças, apesar de ter alguns degraus na transição entre os espaços. Proprietário muito disponível. Localização não muito longe do Porto é boa para férias com crianças. Piscina aquecida....

The house is completely equiped to a perfect weekend. The pool is really nice, with different depths so everyone can enjoy. The beds were heaven, so soft which helped to recover from such fun days. Afonso was a great host, for sure.

We were very well received at Encostas do Douro! The room was very clean and comfortable, and very well positioned to meet the Douro region.
