Having stayed at the hotel each year (fishing in the Derbyshire Wye - paid) The location / views are exceptional. Very convenient for the fishing and walking. The renovated rooms are excellent (particularly with the balcony view)

Comunication was great from start to finish. Our room was lovely, clean, had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious, great eggs and nice coffee. Location is fantastic, would highly reccomend The Avenue!

Lovely little room - well thought out with plenty of plug sockets and a mirror within range of one (it is amazing how often you cannot plug a hairdryer in near a mirror!). Clean and comfortable bed and a good shower

We’ve stayed twice before and love this inn. Fabulous views and walks on the doorstep, cosy log fire in the bar (our preferred dining spot) and a delicious belly pork roast followed by home made crumble. Staff are friendly and our waiter...

Liked the finishes. Liked the idea of the bike and boot. The room was thought out well. Outlets were right. Bathroom nice with big fluffy towels. Nice stocked bar with Diet Coke! Just an all around cool place. Breakfast was nice to have at...

Breakfast was not included which was reflected in the very very good price,, room was large clean and comfortable. Lovely view, highly recommended.

Had a great time all round. Very nice room (with cafetiere + real coffee provided - not just instant!), excellent meal at the pub downstairs. And most importantly, really helpful and friendly staff.
