Calm, self contained, private. Newly refurbished to a high standard and very clean. Close (6 minute drive) to local village with excellent boulangerie/groceries, and to the market town of La Chatre.

Beautiful château full of stunning objets d’art. It has been renovated to a very high standard, each large bedroom having a four poster bed. Huge fireplaces, lovely bathrooms, ancient tapestries.

I had such a wonderful stay—the room was peaceful, the pool was glorious, the restaurant was delicious, and the staff was just so lovely. I needed to reach a music festival and the lovely woman at the front desk was kind enough to drive me there...

The location was very central although a bit noisy right on a roundabout . However there were shutters but very hot so left open. Idea to put a fan in room for better nights sleep.

I really love the breakfast on the top floor. The light and view are amazing. I enjoyed the pool and sauna, too, though wish that more of the spa venues had been functional.

it was convenient to the motorway and the warmest welcome I’ve ever had in France, even with us speaking no French and their little English we straight away felt like they were welcoming family to stay.

Old townhouse in the centre of St Aignan, convenient for restaurants and historic buildings. Very helpful host, showed us everything in person. Quiet room and very comfortable beds.

What a perfect stay ! A very cosy room, very clean, good bedding, silent, a parking and a warm welcome. We also had the tasing of the local specialties. We can absolutely recommend that.
