I had the smoked salmon and it was delicious, my husband had the full English which was also delicious, there was absolutely nothing that could have been improved, so absolutely delighted !

Excellent. The hotel's food offering were plentiful. Starting with breakfast, it was excellent in taste and value for money. The reception staff, principally interacting with the awesome Amanda, were very friendly and professional.

We were made to feel very welcome by the super friendly staff especially Sue the manager. nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable king size beds and large rooms. All meals were delivered quickly and tasted delicious.

A beautiful location with our cottage having a stunning outlook right over the lake. We enjoyed waking up every morning having a coffee looking out from our balconette window in the bedroom at the wonderful ducks and swans and sitting out at night...

They really couldn't have gone to more trouble with the facilities... everything you could want on hand.Good quality fittings and a bargain price. Rural location, but close to civilisation with a car!

Like most seaside accommodation I was expecting it to be a bit run down and was delighted to find my room was newly refurbished to a high standard with a very smart en-suite and good free Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels appeared new.

Room space is good for 2 people and a dog. Comfortable bed, liked the pillows and the sofa. Breakfast was great and the staff was just excellent. Nice bar and great service.

Staff were very welcoming and reception and public areas were spotlessly clean. Bedroom was clean but carpet and sofa had stains noting too serious but quite noticeable.

This is a gem of a hotel located in wonderfully peaceful surroundings and full of fascinating history. The staff are great and welcoming and the volcanic hot rock chateaubriand was exceptional.
